2.21.2017 Cincinnati Community Council meeting

A couple weeks ago, folks from Refute and Rally along with friends got together and went to a local meeting of citizens from many faiths, no faith, and any other walk of life to discuss and work together on making Cincinnati a welcoming place for all.

What went down was a wonderful evening of discussion, connection-making, and artwork. Business cards were swapped, and emails were sent to make plans and connections for later.

More importantly, children attending the meeting made cards and artwork welcoming local refugees to Cincinnati. The work was then given to refugees at the local resettlement site and hung outside their classrooms to welcome new refugees as they arrive in America.

Thank you to all that participated, and thank you to the fine members of the Cincinnati Community Council and the Clifton Mosque for hosting the event. You are all doing phenomenal work, let’s keep it up together!
